Ellipse GpsTools v2.00 and later

An Ellipse object is used to draw an ellipse on a Map. The object can only be created with the Map.NewEllipse method. Use the Ellipse.Position property to position the ellipse on the map. See the properties to the left for how to determine the size and color of the ellipse.

Remember that you must call Map.Update after you have made updates to objects that are placed on a map or else the updates will not be displayed. For best performance make all updates at once and then call Update.

To remove an object (e.g. Ellipse) from a map use Map.Delete.

Use Ellipse.ID to map an ellipse on a map to a database record.

Visual Basic sample to use an Ellipse:
' objPos and Map1 is defined elsewhere
' (see SimpleMap sample in the SDK.)

Dim objEllipse As Ellipse

Set objEllipse = Map1.NewEllipse()

Set objEllipse.Position = objPos ' Position
objEllipse.Width = 10
objEllipse.Height = 10

Map1.Update ' Update map view
